Impasse des Peintres (Dead end of the Painters) is a small lane less than 50 m long and only 2 m wide, open between 112 and 114, rue Saint-Denis. It is originally an alley drawn on the outside of the enclosure of Philippe Auguste, at the level of the first Saint-Denis gate.
