Paris Right Bank - Rue de la Grande Truanderie

The rue de la Grande-Truanderie, like the rue de la Petite-Truanderie, was already built in 1250. Its name comes either from the word truand because it was inhabited by rascals, or from the word "truage", which means taxes because there was an office in this street where the import duties for goods entering Paris were collected.
