Paris - Church of Saint-Germain-de-Charonne

The Saint-Germain de Charonne church is located in the Père-Lachaise district on the edge of the Charonne district. Legend has it that the church was erected by the inhabitants of the place on the site of a small oratory in memory of the meeting around 470 on the slopes of Charonne between Saint Germain, then bishop of Auxerre, and the future patroness of Paris, Saint Genevieve. This church became famous in the last scene of the film Les Tontons flingueurs.
